Filter Plant Design
Bastin Logan Water Services, Inc. (BLWSI) has pilot plant equipment to perform a field water filtration pilot study to determine what filter equipment and chemical feed equipment would be best suited for a new water supply application. The pilot plant is trailer mounted and includes aeration, detention and two (2) filters capable of a flow rate of 100-200 GPM. This field pilot study equipment determines the type of media required (and the head loss of each) and chemical feed requirements to provide the highest effluent water quality. This testing is all performed before a water treatment plant is fully designed.
BLWSI has been in business since 1983, with Jim Logan, Joe Paszek and Brian Logan being specialists in the water treatment business having over 100 years of combined experience. BLWSI has over 70 horizontal pressure filters, 40 unilater package water treatment plants and many vertical pressure filters in operation in Indiana, ranging from 100 GPM thru 10,500 GPM (15 MGD). BLWSI manufactures aerators, filters (including vertical and horizontal), unilater package plant for iron and manganese removal, Zeolite softening equipment and fluid bed reactors for chemical softening. BLWSI also supplies fully automatic filter operating control panels for our treatment equipment.
